Refolding Refolding

Refolding methods become necessary in case a protein is expressed in inclusion bodies. Basically, a protein recovered from inclusion bodies can be solubilized using a pH-, urea-, or guanidine.HCl-based protocol. After refolding, at least two column runs (metal affinity, ion exchange, or size exclusion chromatography) are carried out.
